Hijau cushions competition

Worldly Goods

Win three handmade limited-edition cushions
made from vintage silk

Wherever in the world artist and designer Antonia Atha travels, she collects local vintage fabric that catches her eye. From the markets of Istanbul she has sourced vintage silk ikat and handmade three beautiful Hijau cushions that one lucky Reclaim reader can win. Worth over £200, the cushions are made with exquisite vintage silk and backed with a racing-green velvet, and come with duck-feather cushion pads for ultimate comfort.

With a keen passion for interiors and more than a decade working in film – creating and dressing sets for major movies and period dramas – Antonia learnt how the smallest detail can help tell the biggest stories. On her travels she developed a love of fabrics, drawn to the materials of the countries she visited, buying a metre here, a metre there. She built up a collection over the years, where each dye and weave have a meaning attached, which led her to start her business, The World in Cushions.

‘The fabrics are sourced from all over the world and chosen as much for the stories they hold as their quality and uniqueness,’ explains Antonia. ‘I’m always on the hunt for fabrics with interesting stories, and would be delighted if your readers would get in touch with any fabric they have come across on their travels that they found interesting.’ You can share any fabric finds with Antonia by following her on Instagram @theworldincushions, or check out her website at theworldincushions.com.
